The ingredients needed to make Lasagna:
  1. Prepare 2 cup Marinara Basil sauce
  2. Get 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  3. Make ready 8 medium meatballs pre-made or bought
  4. Take 1 1/2 lb Italian sausage
  5. Make ready 2 cup Mozzarella cheese
  6. Get 1 box Lasagna noodles
Steps to make Lasagna:
  1. Boil noodles according to box, let sit in water but turn heat off
  2. Slice meatballs into small pieces
  3. Grind sausage by hand or in a processor
  4. Brown sausage in frying pan, let cool
  5. Assembly (pre-heat oven to 350 degrees)
  6. Use 9x13 baking dish. I prefer stoneware
  7. Spoon 3 to 4 tbs of sauce on bottom of pan
  8. Lay noodles slightly overlapping edges
  9. Spread ricotta cheese and meatball slices
  10. Add another layer sauce
  11. Add 2nd layer noodles overlapping edges
  12. Repeat steps 9 & 10 using browned sausage instead of meatballs in 1st layer.
  13. Add 3rd layer noodles slightly overlapped
  14. Cover with thin layer sauce
  15. Cover whole top with Mozzarella
  16. Bake covered with foil 45 min at 350°F uncover and cook to brown top another 10 minutes
  17. IMPORTANT for full flavor to set in let rest at room temperature 2 hrs.
